Wow – has it really been 5 years since Fire & Earth Hinckley opened?! Time does fly when you’re having fun, and so much has changed since then too. Like everyone else, we’ve had a tough year, but we’re back stronger than ever and have great plans for the future. This blog is slightly different from our usual information about health, fitness, and activity. Instead, we’ll be chatting about where we are now and where we’re heading in 2022.

We’d like to start by saying a massive thank you for all the support we’ve received in Hinckley, especially over the last 18 months. We feel incredibly privileged to do what we love every day, and to be able to help you feel better and achieve your goals.

We’ve also had great support from Places Gym, where we’re based. The team have been great and continue to do great work. If you didn’t know Places Gym is the sister site to Places Leisure Centre, which is across the road in Hinckley town centre. Understandably, we do have the odd client get the two mixed up.

We are located on Station Road so we’re really easy to find, plus you get 2 hours’ free parking at Sainsburys in The Crescent. If you haven’t visited Places Gym before it’s definitely worth a look – there are some great classes, lots of equipment, and a friendly vibe.

Our clinic rooms are on the ground floor near reception and have disabled access. We have two rooms that cater for Sports Massage and Sports Therapy treatments.

My name is Amy Sharp, and I’m the clinic owner here in Hinckley. I initially joined the team just after Hinckley opened and have progressed over the years to buying the franchise and building my team of therapists, which is hugely rewarding.

I’m a sports therapist so my specialism is rehabilitating injuries through hands-on massage and exercise programmes. The combination is perfect to get our clients back on their feet and in some cases even stronger than before their injury! To find out more about me please read my bio.

I’m joined by Matt Broughton who’s a sports massage therapist with a love of football. Matt was taught by the Fire & Earth Massage Academy and has really grown into a great therapist over the last couple of years. Matt is always reading and learning and will be completing a Cupping course this year, so watch out for that. Matt’s full bio is here.

Our exciting news for 2022 is that we’re expanding our clinic! We’re developing our current team’s skills, we’re always learning, and we shall be adding in a physiotherapist and a new treatment room which is very exciting! Watch this space…

Although we have the word ‘sports’ in our titles, we actually see a lot of clients who are not sporty and who are struggling with postural issues or injuries from working at home, gardening, or simply everyday activities. If you’re feeling tight, sore, or have a niggling injury, we can help, no matter how it happened.
Booking in with us couldn’t be easier, and we have plenty of options to fit you in.

Between us we cover Monday to Saturday including evening appointments. It’s really easy to book. All you have to do is head over to our book online page and select the time you like, which therapist you’d like to see, and you’re done!

We do suggest that if this is your first appointment with us you go for the 60-minute option as we’ll need to go through a consultation as well as give you a massage.

Our Book Online Page is here https://www.fireandearthhinckley.co.uk/location-and-booking/#book
